Oakland Soul SC announce Jessica Clinton as the team’s first-ever Head Coach. Jessica comes to Oakland with more than 15 years of experience as a Division One college coach. She has spent time as the Head Coach at Fordham University from 2014-2021 before becoming the Associate Head Coach at Boston University, her alma mater, where she obtained a BA in Hospitality Administration and Management.
“I have had my eyes on Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul SC from afar since the team’s launch. A Club truly rooted in its Purpose and the community is something special to be a part of,” said new Head Coach Jessica Clinton. “I cannot wait to get started. I am committed to making this team successful on the field while also contributing to the community off the field.”
A former collegiate player at Boston University, Jessica quickly stepped into her coaching career following her time in college. Clinton most recently worked as the Director of Coaching at South Shore Select Soccer in Massachusetts with previous experience at New York Soccer Club, NEFC, and St John’s University.
